Registration Services - Team Leader Position - Maternity Leave
IEDR, the company responsible for the management and administration of the .ie namespace and the registry for all internet addresses ending in ".ie", is seeking to recruit an experienced individual as Team Leader of the Registration Services team. This position is for maternity cover and will cease upon the return of the current Team Lead.
A key element of the role is to manage the companys processes and procedures for registering, modifying or deleting .ie domain names and manage the external relationships with registrants, agents and representative bodies within the Local Internet Community.
Other important roles and responsibilities include:-
- Registration Policy implementation, updates and clarifications.
- Operation of procedures in relation to :-
- Appeals of Registration Services team decisions (on refusals to register...)
- Handling Grievances / Complaints from resellers or Direct registrants.
- Assist in the operation of a Policy Advisory Committee (PAC).
- Assist in the introduction of Reseller / Registrar Contracts, handle new reseller applications and manage the delisting procedures for non-performing resellers.
- Maintain good relationships with the Registrar community - using email, IEDRs web-based. Reseller Discussion Forum (RDF), reseller seminars, quarterly ie-zine and phone contacts.
- Preparation of monthly ad-hoc reports and KPIs for meetings.
The position may suit a person with a legal qualification. A minimum of five years experience is required, and experience in internet / telecommunications / web hosting sectors would be an advantage. In order to efficiently operate proprietary applications which interact with the .ie database, knowledge and experience in using web-based management systems would also be an advantage,
The successful applicant must be personable, a team player, committed to continuous improvement of process and procedures and able to work closely with IEDRs Application Support and Development (ASD) and Accounts teams to deliver quality customer service. The ability to exercise good judgement is an important requirement, particularly in the implementation of registration policies for discretionary .ie domain names.
The salary for the position is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
